Leanne Marshall's Fall 2010 Collection was inspired by topography - yes, maps! The influence is evident here:



...and in many of the other looks from the collection. The talented season five winner presented a full range of garments including coats, skirts, jackets, cocktail dresses, and gowns.

Leanne admits working until the last minute and without sleep for 48 hours! She had help from fellow Project Runway alums, Maya Luz and Suede.

Our "Man on the scene," Mark Y, sat with Wesley Nault and Jennifer Diederich. He reports that Korto Momolu, Jay McCarroll, Ben Chmura and Jonathan Peters were in attendance. Season five model Karalyn West was also in the show. Mark describes the collection as glamorous and still "very Leanne." She has a distinctive look that is always fresh and original.

Leanne Marshall's SS'10 Show

Leanne Marshall's Spring/Summer 2010 Collection was inspired by fonts. Fonts!

Many of the the designs featured a black and white striped fabric. It was pure Leanne with her signature folds and waves, but there were surprises too!

The Scarlett and I had a wonderful time at the show. Jack Mackenroth, Kevin Christiana, and Korto Momolu were there. Suede brought flowers!

We also visited with model Karalyn West and we met Leanne's proud mom. The audience clearly loved the show and gave a standing ovation.

There are only eight more weeks until the August 20th return of Project Runway! That wasn't in the mailbox - I just felt like squealing with delight.

Leanne Marshall gave the Bluefly blog Flypaper a note about her upcoming collection for that online retailer. You can the Bluefly Facebook page to know when that collection debuts or you can check right here. A little fly on the wall tells us that it will be sooner than later.

Reality worlds collided on June 23rd with Season 5 designer Kevin Christiana met up with Real Housewives of New York star Alex McCord at the Second Time Around New York store opening.







Guest of a Guest tells us that Season 1 designer Austin Scarlett joined Fern Mallis and Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen at the Divas Shop for Opera event on June 24th. Speakeasy learns that Austin donated a scarf for the cause.






Season 4 winner Christian Siriano fierced up the Gen Art 15 Anniversary benefit on June 24th. And who else was there? None other than the previous mentioned Silex!
