Amanda's Take - Season 7 - Episode 3
Project Runway Model, Amanda Fields returns with her take on episode three. Thanks Amanda!
Are the opening credits different? I love it; it feels more personal and fun.
My jaw dropped looking at the clothes from the curatorial department of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. My goodness. Simple fit with exquisite detail is breathtaking. That billowy pink Balenciaga coat reminded me of Chloe Dao's finale collection! I love high end looks! Drama!! When Tim called out the team leaders.. I was thinking: obviously one of these people will be out! (They always eliminate the leader of a team!) Jesse saying "I don't want Ping to pick me..." I can already tell they are in the bottom three.
A great model would never sell out a designer. As I have said before, sometimes I may not understand or necessarily like an outfit that I'm modeling, but I wear it as if it is the hottest new thing. Oh Megan WHY!? (PS I wrote this BEFORE Models of the Runway came on!) After understanding that she is new to the modeling world, I will cut her a little slack. I am sure she won't make the same mistake again. I know I have always been talkative, but not negative.
After seeing the outfits this week (not made out of burlap) I can see that the eliminated designer, Pamela, from the last episode was not to blame for making the model's butt look big. You can see in the form fitting dress this week. It is a matter of opinion as to her body being runway material, I am simply stating that Pamela should not have been blamed.

Congratulations, Mila
The visit to the museum seemed to energize you and and you stated that you felt that this challenge was your first chance to truly express your point of view. This was most assuredly a 'WOW' on the runway from the moment Lorena displayed the batwing silhouette showing off the color block construction for maximum effect. Matthew Williamson noted that your look was sportswear inspired, clean and graphic and you sold Heidi Klum for she would love to have that coat. Michael Kors applauded that you showed separates and the judges found the ensemble exciting and modern. Bravissima, Mila!

BPR Love for Ping Wu
Every season of Project Runway needs a free spirit, a visionary, an artist; this year that role firmly belonged to you. You embraced every challenge and threw your heart and soul completely into it. You seemed reborn with each new opportunity to express yourself and it was a pleasure to watch you respond to your garments on the catwalk. You came to learn and to meet the other designers but you left as an unforgettable part of Season 7. We were intrigued and you got us talking and isn't that what making art is all about?

Episode 3 Party!

Come along now designers, we are off on another field trip. Be careful as you cross the street and really, you should all hold hands so no one gets lost. Jay, I know how important it is for your hair to look perfect in the city, but if you get hit by a racing cab, it will not matter anymore.
It's Thursday night party time at BPR! All are welcome as we cheer and jeer the 14 remaining designers in tonight's new epiosde of Project Runway. Just click on the comments under this post and join the fun!

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y
It's time for Week Two in the Project Runway Fantasy Game. The designers will have lots to say this week - the first team challenge of the season. And you know they always hate that. With all the sniping and griping you're bound to pick up points for one of the many quote categories. So pick your team now. Points, points, points.
Congrats to PR Superfan team member BedHead, our leader with 25 points. Picking Jay, Emilio and Anna, BedHead scored with a win and two ins, plus a couple of quotes and at least one discouraging word, oh my. It couldn't have been burlap. A win in this scoring scenario is kind of like the fashion equivalent of a double word score in Scrabble. Points for being in and the win!
Click here for a rundown of how points are scored.
I, on the other hand, being only as fashionable as the Banana Republic sale corner, tallied a total of two. On my team were Anna, Anthony and Emilio. I'm sticking with my boys but saying so long to Anna and welcoming Mila. I believe she'll get lots of camera time.
You're not on the team? Its not too late. Click here to join other PRSuperFans!

Tonight On BPR

Tim appears to be much more in his element this week, doesn't he? We can only imagine the level of relief he must have had after wiping off his muck encrusted farm boots.
It's team challenge time on Project Runway, always a recipe for designer drama. BPR is your source for new episode fun:
- Can the BPR party animals transition smoothly from the barnyard to the Upper East Side? Of course they can't. But they are fabulous anyways and we'll open our doors to them at 9:30 p.m. for our weekly party post.
- Every week is a team challenge for Tbone and suzq as they provide live play by play action of Episode 3. Tbone can't stand suzq's diva-like behavior and suzq has no tolerance for Tbone's cheap wit and poor grammar. Good thing they work on this 700 miles apart from each other! Join them live beginning at 10:00 p.m.
- Make sure to come back and sound off in our weekly reactions thread, posted immediately after the episode airs on the east coast.
Thursday night on BPR - don't miss it!

Amanda's Take - Season 7 - Episode 2
Project Runway Model Amanda Fields returns this week with her take on episode two. Thank you Amanda.
Hello again!!
Potato, potAto... to each his or her own!
Creating looks out of a potato sack was definitely a challenge, and very entertaining to watch! I love that this episode was entitled, "The Fashion Farm" because, in a wonderful way, isn't that what Project Runway can be? I mean that in a positive way, they are in a closed, enriching environment, they are being trained and prodded by Tim Gunn and then the judges determine what gets to be the winner.. the pick of the litter! It was quite the twist to have the models choosing designers AFTER the designers has selected their models for this week! Ha ha.. I liked it. (As you could have guessed.) "She's so beautiful, she'd even look great in a potato sack!" I love that. And the models DID look great!

Congratulations, Jay
How does one transform the fabric of bumpkins and rubes and make it into a garment worthy of a fashion industry event? One would think it would require magic but not in your creative hands. You saw not the coarse nature of the cloth but the possibility to replicate 'feathers' when frayed. No smoke and mirrors were involved but as Lauren Hutton observed you managed to make burlap look expensive and light. The fitted bodice coupled with the flirty, ethereal froth of the skirt was noted by Heidi to be perfectly appropriate as a cocktail dress. This feminine look bewitched the judges and your client obviously was enchanted with level of sophistication you infused in this frock. Applause to Jay!

BPR Love for Pamela Ptak
You felt very confident in your treatment of the burlap, transforming it with blue dye to mimic faded, ombre denim. Michael Kors observed how beautifully you handled the color and how it did indeed appear to be the stuff of jeans. It was also noted that your garment was well-constructed; you went out with the opportunity in two challenges to showcase your considerable skills and your point-of-view. But as you noted, you also had the chance be a part of and meet a very talented group of people, to make friends. Now you get the chance to meet even more friends that are fans of the show and that now will be watching your efforts, cheering you on along the way. Hold your head high, Pamela!

Amanda's Take - Season 7 - Episode 1
Season Three Model, Amanda Fields returns to BPR with her take on the models each week - thanks Amanda!
It is so incredibly refreshing to see the designers on Project Runway walking and sashaying down the street in New York into the Atlas Apartment building and into the Parsons School of Design. This is the show we all love and have a soft spot for in our hearts. There is nothing at all wrong with doing the show here in LA, it's just not the same show.
Simply based on personalities, I think the final three (I only have it narrowed down to 4) will be the girl from Portland (Janeane), Maya, Emilio and Amy Sarabi...
After seeing the clothes on the runway, LOVE Jay Nicholas! LOVE Emilio! LOVE Janeane! LOVE MILA! Like Maya...
MODELS I LOVE Holly, Alexis, Brittany.
"She looks like a Hershey Chocolate Bar!" Oh Nina. Hilarious.
And the winner of the challenge is.. EMILIO! WITH HOLLY! Dream team to watch!
