BPR's Big Adventure - Part Five
I called Emmett on Friday night just to confirm exactly the best way to get to EMc2 from my hotel. He suggested that his friend Erin McDonnell, a jewelry designer could come by and pick us up and that we could all go together.
Sure enough Erin called in the morning and met us downstairs. She was lovely and if you have been to EMc2 you have seen her beautiful jewelry designs.

Here are some more photos from Emmett's Sale: This is Dalin, Nick, Julia and Kathryn. Hi girls! It was fun meeting you!
Below is Dalin (Duckie) and Tim!
Speaking of Emmett, I received this note today:
Dear Blogging Project Runway:
We have been overwhelmed by the LOVE for Tim Gunn and have been packing up bobble heads and t shirts and shipping them out! (So much for the glamourous life of designing!)
The shipments are on the way so look for Tim Gunn in your mail box!
Also the REAL Tim Gunn is coming by this weekend and offered to sign more t- shirts and bobbleheads for those BeePeRs who missed out the first time.
If interested place your orders and specify if you want a signed t-shirt or bobble head in the comment field.
here is the link:

Last, from Chris, here is a link to a finale show critique from zoozoom. Spoiler Alert - you will see photos of several designs.
Attention: Chicago!

We wanted to be sure these were actually licensed designs and here is Robert's response:
Yes, they do sell checks with photos of Barbie that I have designed - and that is in fact one of them. I think there is a series of checks with pictures of the "Barbie Fashion Model Collection" which is designed exclusively by me.
Robert
There are MORE! Thanks Allison.
Next, BPR reader Chloe V interviewed Alison Kelly for her school paper. You can read Alison's answers here.
Also, it looks like Wendy Pepper will be on THE MOST with Alison Stewart TODAY at 3:00 on MSNBC. Should be fun!
Finally, here is a great article from Entertainment Weekly following up on several of our favorite designers. Thanks Celia.

Top 5 Looks From Season 3
It's time! We're teaming up once again with our friends at Television Without Pity for the popular "Top 5 Looks Poll". Now that everyone has had a chance to see all of the designs and challenges this season, which 5 are your favorites?
Probably the easiest way to look at all of the dresses is to go to Bravo's Rate The Runway page where you can sort by episode. To keep everyone consistent, list your five favorites by number, designer(s) name(s) and challenge like this:
1 - Robert Best "Wall to Wall" challenge
2 - Michael Knight "Iconic Statement" challenge
3 - Angela/Laura/Michael "Macy's" challenge
4 - Uli Herzner "Dog" challenge
5 - Andy Cohen "Weekend In The Hamptons" challenge
(Well, that last one wouldn't count, but you get the idea...)
We'll tally the results and reveal your Top 5 picks in a special countdown leading up to the premiere of the Season 3 finale on October 11. Who from Season 3 will join Andrae Gonzalo as a Top 5 Looks champion?

If you are interested in these items please place your bids because I actually have TWO of each. Two pink shirts, two black shirts and two goodie bags. (Second goodie bag is missing the program and the ticket - actually they were not part of the official goodie bag but they were in there so I included them....hope that makes sense....) The second item will be offered to the second-highest bidder. Good luck and thank you for supporting the BPR Scholarship Fund!

Transcript of Tim's Podcast #11 - Editorial
Hi, I’m Tim Gunn and this is my podcast for episode 11.
In our last episode, Vincent and Angela were brought back. And if you recall they were brought back because they were the only two designers who had won challenges and then been eliminated before that episode. Keith would’ve been among them had he not been disqualified. But we had Vincent and Angela, and the only way that they could stay on was to win. And they didn’t win, so they left and our dear Kayne departed also. And Laura was the winner. Laura finally won a challenge and she earned it.

Transcript of Tim's Podcast - Black and White
Hi, I’m Tim Gunn, and this is my podcast for Episode 10, which is our Black and White challenge.
So… last week in Paris we had an initial judging of the designers’ work by Catherine Malandrino. Then we returned to New York and had our full court press with the judges—Heidi, Nina, and Michael, and our guest judge Richard Tyler. Jeffrey won his second win in a row, so he’s tied with Michael in that regard. And Vincent was out.

Here is a Fashion Week article from South Florida's Sun-Sentinel. Ummmm... Florida - by the way - we could use some news about Uli here! Thanks Laura S.

Here is a note from Diana Eng. I asked her who her favorite was!
Hi LK,
Laura's was my favorite. She managed to add sparkle without making it look like a figure skating costume. They were elegant and sometimes a bit sassy.
Hope to see you next time you are in the city!

A Note From Laura Bennett
Believe me when I tell you I read BPR everyday. It is the definitive source for all things project runway. The links to articles, recaps, and related events are invaluable to me; and god knows the site is easier to navigate than BravoTV.com!
I never meant to dis BPR in any way. I fully appreciate the amount of work T-Bone, Scarlett and Laura do for the fans and designers of Project Runway. I only meant that I enjoy a little gossip and dishing from time to time and BPR is not the place for that.
I would like to extend T-Bone an apology for refering to him as "one of the girls." Though in some circles that is not considered a bad thing!
Thanks for watching, thanks for blogging, and feel free to dish it out. I can take it!
Laura Bennett
T.G.I.W.
First, here is a great article from The Seattle Times today about guys watching Project Runway. There's more than you think! Thanks Karen.
Have you voted yet in our decoy poll? Now's the time to weigh in.
And finally, here's a hilarious interview with Laura Bennett from our friend Dennis Hensley at OutZoneTv.com that has a BPR mention. Dare I say it? We've become dowdy! Here's Laura:
And then I also read the girls from Blogging Project Runway, even though it’s gotten a little bit boring. It’s a little too sweet lately. You know, they don’t allow nasty comments and you know, that’s no fun. Come on, if you can’t dish. But I talk to one of the girls from them, just because of all the work they do over there. You have to.
Ouch.

BPR Poll: Who Is The Decoy?
We've been speculating about the decoy ever since the OFW photos appeared. Do the final collections or previews give us any hints? Is there are a decoy? What do you think? Click here to take our poll. (This time Uli's name is included...promise!)
Did Jeffrey Sebelia Cheat?
Despite our best efforts, there is just no getting away from this story. More fuel has been added to the fire:
The Chicago Tribune passes on the rumors...
The New York Post thinks someone may be ejected...
The Boston Herald claims Season 3 as "the sleaziest so far"...
Meanwhile, Jeffrey has responded to BPR reader Erica at her MySpace site, posted yesterday in our comments:
"Hey!!! Thanks for the concern, but all I have to say is be careful of what you read and also of what is presented in the press. Those people take any information they get (usually unfounded rumors) and just print them in order to bolster their own readership with no regard to the person they might be slandering. They are just doing their job as bottom feeding, sludge dredging , no-life having journalists. Not all are like that. In fact a credible journalist might fact check and actually consult all parties before recklessly printing such an accusation. Beleive me, there have been other possible tabloid stories that could have been printed along they way, but those people thought about their responsibility and decided not to pollute people just for their sensationalism. As a reader, I would encourage you to write New York Magazine and ask them to clarify their sources, and challenge them to print the motivation for their actions. Maybe because I'm not a rich, pregnant social climber from New York...everything can be subjective."
Something doesn't smell right. Will we have to wait until October 18 to learn the truth?

The lucky BPR who won Angela's famous Rosette-bedecked pants from the Jet-setter episode has sent these photos and a little story:
Hi all,
I took a couple of not-so-good pics of Angela's "out"-fit. The belt is really pretty and my favorite part. While I was trying to arrange the pants, I found a crinkled gum wrapper [presumably hers!] in the pocket! I counted twenty rosettes on the pants alone. Thanks Meredith!
Here is a short blurb about Heidi - who is also in the October issue of Self magazine - from etonline. Thanks Wendie. And here, is a fun fashion article from My San Antonio. Thanks Wendie.

Live Chat With Tim Gunn!
"Tim Gunn talks about the new shape of fashion and what to expect from here on in. Chair of Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design Tim Gunn will answer your questions about fashion's new architecture on Monday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. ET."
We had a great time earlier this year when Tim did one of these as several BPR readers had their questions answered. Although the focus of this chat is on the future of fashion, you can be sure there will be a few Project Runway questions thrown in. Click here to submit your questions early and let us know if Tim responds! Thanks Jeannie.
BPR's Big Adventure - Part Four
We asked for a table and were told that it was a "private party." Oh. Rats. You mean Blogging Project Runway isn't on the VIP list? Go figure.
Well, the next thing you know Vincent came along and he was really friendly and sweet. Honestly, he greeted us like friends and thanked us for everything we do. Next came Robert Best and his sister Teresa, who is a DOLL. Then Nick Verreos came outside and at one point Rob from season one (talking on his cell phone in a foreign language), Nick from season two and Robert from season three were all standing near one another. It was just a passing moment though and I didn't have my camera ready soon enough!
We also spotted Laura Bennett's husband and a couple of small well-dressed boys entering the restaurant.
There was a steady drizzle, not too bad, but a little annoying.
Meanwhile we lost Tbone. We waited and waited for him to return and we were even kind of afraid to leave. We tried calling, but there was no answer. Where in the heck was Tbone?

Katy's Take - "Black and White"
While I don’t think it’s practical in the real world, I like the concept of using all the fabric for this challenge! It’s something that has got to be really difficult to do and I’m pretty sure none of the designers have ever done that before, so they all needed to be really creative and couldn’t fall back on something they’ve done in the past. Personally I thought there was going to be a lot more gathering, rouching, pleating, etc because those are all techniques that you could get away squeezing some excess fabric into. I hadn’t even thought about making a purse until I saw them working on them. I think that’s a pretty good idea to get rid of the extra fabric, although I’m glad they didn’t all go that way. I also liked that they defined the color palette for the challenge. By making everyone work in black and white, it really makes you focus on the design styling and silhouette and you can compare the dresses side-by-side more easily.
Angela (OUT, part deux): Okay, so I don’t know what everyone else thinks, but I kind of liked Angela’s shrug/bolero piece. I thought she took a big risk with it (and in their position, she and Vincent needed to take big risks) and while I don’t think it worked that well with the black dress, I thought the shrug was pretty cool. I could see it on a runway with some jeans and a fairly simple top. I think the contrast between easy/casual and over-the-top would be nice. Maybe I’m crazy? Who knows. It’s hard to see all the details in the photos of these black dresses, but the silhouette of Angela’s looks pretty nice and it seems to fit well. I think there might be a bit too much embellishment, but I like the little ruffles around the hem. I don’t like the arm cuff things very much, but they might have been an effort to use the excess fabric? Speaking of which, I didn’t like the way she stuffed the fabric in the purse, but my guess is that she ran out of time to actually make a purse with the scraps and this was a last ditch effort to follow the challenge rules?

Fleurchon Friday....er...Saturday!
First: This story came in several weeks ago, but it seemed a little "spoiler-ish" to report that Angela was at a craft fair while she was still appearing on Project Runway.
From Elizabeth:
My aunt was recently in Asheville, NC at an upscale craft fair of sorts and who had a booth? None other than Angela Keslar and her husband. Of course it was very popular, but she actually met Angela and purchased something to send to my sister Lucy, who is a huge PR fan. The pic is attached - and of course, unsurprising!
Of course, true Fleurchon Afficionados know the difference between a "Rosette" and a "Fleurchon" and while we adore the ruffled wonder of the fleurchon we are completely charmed by the appearance of the "granny-circle-rosettes" in the Spring Collection of James Coviello. (Thank you Sophie.)
BPR's Jubilee Jumbles Award this week has to go to this pair of Rosette-bedecked Panties. Congratulations on your achievement Mr. Coviello.
Angela's influence is profound.

ETA: In case you missed the distinction between the Fleurchon and the Rosette - there is a review here. Keep sending them!

Next, here is an article about the crazy Project Runway blogging community. What? This isn't normal? Thanks Brenda.
The Bravo auctions are featuring Season Two designs. If you missed out last season - now is your chance! Thanks Mizzi!
BPR's Big Adventure - Part Three
So - the show is over.
The crowd began to file out but we were swimming against the current. Most people were heading up and out but we were headed down to the floor. Scarlett was fast! I I was pausing to ask everyone what they thought. "Uli, Uli, Uli." That was all I heard. Although Vincent said he liked Jeffrey. He said Jeffrey "had a beat." Vincent was very friendly, sweet and appreciative to all of us.
This is where the television crews were interviewing the "Project Runway celebrities." Throughout the day it seemed to me that Nick Verreos, Daniel Vosovic and Austin Scarlett were the most frequently interviewed.

Jerry Returns!
Once upon on a rainy New York morning........
But before I start that, let me say is was a great honor to be recognized in the crowd by T-Bone and asked to contribute to this Blog once again.
I was a Big Season 2 Fan, a Fan of the guys in 35D and of course a "Dan Fan". That is what brought me up to NYC in February and to the Tent early in the morning
to "greet" last season's top 3 and of course to wish Daniel, "Good Luck!"
This trip was kind of last minute, thinking the show would be in February again, I didn't really do a lot of planning. When I found out I was wrong, I got off work and jumped on a train to New York, to at least be there on the day of the show!
This year I arrived at the Tent at 8:00AM, not 5:30AM. It wasn't really raining yet. The first person I saw when I got to the Tent was Vincent, standing alone by the cross walk. I thought about going up to him, but I was not a fan, his constant usage of the phrase, "it really gets me off", just didn't do it for me. So I took a pic from the top of the stairs. Next, I saw and heard Malan, but he was with someone and on the phone, after he got off, I happily asked if I could take a pic. I wish he could have gone futher this season. I'm sure he would have added a lot to the season. It was sad to see him go. Next, I saw Chloe and Nick, but they were in the middle of a crowd, getting pictures taken.

Episode Eleven Speculation
And what about that "This year, we are not committed to a final three."??? What does that mean?
What are they designing? In the past, this has been an eveningwear challenge for a celebrity. Nancy O'Dell in season one and Iman in season two. Will this be a celebrity challenge too?
We are always on the lookout for additional preview videos. Let us know when you find them. Thanks!
BPR's Big Adventure - Part Two
About this time I noticed that Jeffrey's mom Pam was in front of us. I was thrilled to meet her since we love the moms. Pam I hope you are reading BPR because we adore your son.
Kaitlin was trying to tell me something. What was it? Nick and Chloe were in line beneath us. I thought Tbone was going to faint. Here is the photo of us all standing in the rain. I challenge anyone to find a photo of me where I am not smiling like this. I grinned myself a headache.
Now you know that Chloe and Nick are VIPs and probably could have gone around to the back and gotten right in but they CHOSE to be out front mingling with the fans. BPR hearts Nick and Chloe! Here is a link to Nick's blog where he gives BPR a shout-out!
